Workday is a cloud software company that builds tools for HR, payroll and finance. It started in 2005, and today thousands of businesses around the world use it to manage their people and their money. This page has the Workday logo in PNG, SVG and vector formats. Every file comes with a transparent background, so you can drop it straight onto a slide, a website or a design without cutting anything out.

Workday Logo Meaning

The logo is simple. You get the word “workday” in lowercase letters with an orange arc sitting above it. That arc can be read two ways. Some people see a bridge linking management and employees. Others see a smile turned upside down. Either way, it takes a bit of the stiffness out of what is really serious business software.

Workday Logo History

Workday was founded in 2005 by Dave Duffield and Aneel Bhusri, who both came from PeopleSoft. The company is based in Pleasanton, California. Unlike a lot of brands, Workday has kept the same basic logo since the start. It never went through big redesigns, which says a lot about how well the original idea worked. The wordmark and the arc are still what you see today on its products, website and office buildings.

Font and Colors

  • Typeface: A clean, rounded sans-serif in lowercase. It looks close to Submariner, but the letter “a” has been changed a little, so it is not an exact match.
  • Blue: used for the lettering (roughly 🔵#005CB9)
  • Orange: used for the arc (roughly 🟠#F38B00)
  • Versions: blue text on white, or white text on a blue background. The arc stays orange in both.

(Colour codes are approximate. If you need exact brand values, check Workday’s own brand guidelines.)

Which Format Should You Pick?

If you just need the Workday logo for a presentation or a blog post, pick the transparent PNG. It works almost everywhere. If you are printing something big, like a banner or a poster, go with SVG or the vector file. These never get blurry, no matter how far you scale them up.

FAQs

Does the Workday logo come with a transparent background?

Yes. All the PNG, SVG and vector files here have no background, so they sit cleanly on any color.
You can download it right here in SVG format. It stays sharp at any size, which makes it good for websites and print.
A PNG has a fixed size, so it can look blurry if you stretch it. A vector file can be scaled as large as you like without losing quality.
It is usually read as a bridge between employees and management, or as a friendly smile. The company has never made it complicated.
Workday, Inc. owns it as a registered trademark. Use it for reference and editorial purposes, and ask for permission before using it commercially.
Not much. The lowercase wordmark and the orange arc have stayed the same since the company began in 2005.
